Please note:
- Vent-free gas log sets are an excellent source of emergency heat (no electricity required) and as a supplemental heater to warm the room in which it is located. Gas Log sets are not to be used as the Primary source of heat for your home
- Code restrictions do not allow this unit to be used “vent-free” in bedrooms or bathrooms
- Only the factory can convert from one gas type to another; be sure to select Natural Gas or Propane as appropriate
Rasmussen Chillbuster Evening Embers Deluxe 18-inch vent-free gas log set. Two views with one set, logs are reversible, heavy bark logs on one side, detailed split logs on the other. Usable in fully vented wood burning fireplaces with the damper open, closed, or in-between, or in fireboxes specifically designed for vent-free gas logs. Logs are ceramic bonded refractory concrete with ceramic coloration.

GR8 Chillbuster Insert!
Our new 18" Evening Embers Vent-Free insert is super . . . . we love it! So very easy to light pilot and use the 3 flame settings!

The install was very easy and looks great.
Wish this set had the 3 way switch so I could hook up my thermostat to turn them on and off. ----- Rasmussen responds: Using a thermostat would require a different control system than the one you purchased. We offer Millivolt controls with 3-way switches on other of our vent-free sets, but this was a clearance model offered just with the Manual control.

Just what I wanted
This log set looks great, gives off good heat, and is simple to set up. We are using it outside in a ‘70 era Malm fireplace. I love the controls and the pilot light. I used a vented log just like this in my house, but would have done this one instead if I had see it in action first. It didn’t come with any vermiculite is my only complaint.
