The Solaire 27XL grilling grate is made of a single piece of stainless steel and simply fits right on top of the grilling area. Make sure to clean your grates after use by doing the 5 minute burn off after cooking (leave the burners on high for 5 minutes after pulling your food off the grill) and using a grid scraper or wire brush to remove debris. Replacement of all grates requires purchasing 2 of this item. For Basic 27" grill grate, see SOL-2713R.
**Not for Basic 27" grills, see SOL-2713R ** (Basic 27" is 3" shallower than Deluxe 27XL. This grate will not fit in the Basic 27")

Love the new grate design!
Bought my grill in 2004. Cleans up like new. Finally had to replace the grates! Not bad for 24 years!!!!

Love these grills!!!
So we cook all the time on our grill. I would say 3, sometimes four times a week much of the year. They last a long time are great to cook on and easy to replace with new parts when they have served their time.
